Intercultural Guided Nature Tours
The project "Nature Guides" was set up in spring 2006 in a cooperation between teachers and pupils of the local LICEU, biologists from the LICEU (Gymnasium) LEIBNITZ/Austria and the local Centro de Inicativas Juvenil KATCHAS, supported by the French NGO "DIA".

We strongly recommend our guests to make use of the young Nature Guides because:
- they know interesting plants and animals;
- they guarantee your safety and can keep you from trespassing;
- they have some command of English/French and can help you communicate with the locals;
- they can organize taxis (if required) and binoculars.
Attention:
- Except the beach-walk all tours are only for well-trained hikers.
- Prices apply to small groups up to 4. Bigger groups open to negotiation.
- Taxis drop you off and pick you up. Taxis cost about 4000. - ECV for half a day. Much cheaper if you go by aluguer, but needs more time!
- For all the longer trips you need good shoes, some water, sunblock, a snack.
- You undertake all excursions on your own risk!
- Please do not give any presents (sweets, money, pencils, balloons,…) to children or adults. This would induce begging, aggressive behaviour in case of frustration, and make life hard for guides and future tourists.
